I loved this TP, each story was a perfect snapshot of the kid’s lives at different times through the Stranger Things timeline。 I loved seeing the stories through the lens of D&D and how they met。

Reading this made me yearn for Stranger Things to return。 Houser and Zub captured the relationship between the kids very well。 It also made me want to start a new D&D campaign as it brought back those feels of playing D&D with my friends growing up。 That sense of camaraderie you get from friends that have your back and the joy of leveling up your character while having these adventures。 Each issue takes place between a season of the show。 This is a book I think anyone who grew up playing RPGs wi Reading this made me yearn for Stranger Things to return。 Houser and Zub captured the relationship between the kids very well。 It also made me want to start a new D&D campaign as it brought back those feels of playing D&D with my friends growing up。 That sense of camaraderie you get from friends that have your back and the joy of leveling up your character while having these adventures。 Each issue takes place between a season of the show。 This is a book I think anyone who grew up playing RPGs will really enjoy。 。。。more

Well, this is certainly another wonderful Stranger Things spin-off story。 These media-tie-in stories can be real hit or miss, usually miss actually。 But this one holds up, giving more context and backstory to the group’s obsession with Dungeons & Dragons。 I also enjoyed that this offers a glimpse as to what playing D&D is like, and doesn’t try to fuse the game with “reality。” But what works the best for me, is that the characters feel authentic and that the story isn’t trying to add more superna Well, this is certainly another wonderful Stranger Things spin-off story。 These media-tie-in stories can be real hit or miss, usually miss actually。 But this one holds up, giving more context and backstory to the group’s obsession with Dungeons & Dragons。 I also enjoyed that this offers a glimpse as to what playing D&D is like, and doesn’t try to fuse the game with “reality。” But what works the best for me, is that the characters feel authentic and that the story isn’t trying to add more supernatural adventures to the overall narrative, just adding depth and background。 I appreciate that with these types of media-tie-in marketing projects。 。。。more

Ok this was honestly really good。 I have such an attachment to D&D and was hoping they were going to make a graphic novel about their sessions when the show started。 I loved how they went through all the seasons to how their playing developed and how they created their party, adding Eleven and Max into the party later。 Definitely my favorite of the Stranger Things graphic novels so far。 Also makes me want to rewatch Stranger Things again。

I received a free copy from Edelweiss and Dark Horse in exchange for an honest review。 Thank you!Okay, everybody who loves Dungeons & Dragons and has seen the Stranger Things tv series, must pick this up! The four chapters in this graphic novel are set before and throughout the tv series, so knowing what happens in the show is a big help in order to understand the backgrounds of these short stories。 The story telling of the D&D adventures is fascinating and captures the reader's attention right away。 The artwork is great, it really captures the actors in the characters and they're very recognisable。 And now I really want to re-watch the tv series! 。。。more

An excellent addition to the Stranger Things universe, filling in around the edges and expanding on what we see in the show itself。 This series takes place across the timeline of all three seasons, starting before the first episode with the boys' first Dungeons and Dragons adventure。I was concerned that the addition of D&D would be little more than an ad in comic book form, but they fit in the role-playing aspects very neatly with the overall story。 It's a natural fit and well worth reading。 An excellent addition to the Stranger Things universe, filling in around the edges and expanding on what we see in the show itself。 This series takes place across the timeline of all three seasons, starting before the first episode with the boys' first Dungeons and Dragons adventure。I was concerned that the addition of D&D would be little more than an ad in comic book form, but they fit in the role-playing aspects very neatly with the overall story。 It's a natural fit and well worth reading。 。。。more

Pretty much a love letter to how class dungeons and dragons is more than any important canonical stranger things content。 Captures the greatness of DND perfectly

Can't wait for May of 2022 to bring the latest season of Stranger Things? I really enjoyed this comic featuring the kids from Stranger Things and how their world of Dungeons & Dragons brought and kept them together。 It was fun seeing them learn about the game, then develop into the characters they were in the game, and apply those lessons to life and in fighting real world monsters。 I also loved how Will ended his last game playing with his friends before his family moved away。I received an e-ARC of this book by the publisher Dark Horse Comics and IDW via Edelweiss。 T I really enjoyed this comic featuring the kids from Stranger Things and how their world of Dungeons & Dragons brought and kept them together。 It was fun seeing them learn about the game, then develop into the characters they were in the game, and apply those lessons to life and in fighting real world monsters。 I also loved how Will ended his last game playing with his friends before his family moved away。I received an e-ARC of this book by the publisher Dark Horse Comics and IDW via Edelweiss。 This does not affect my opinion regarding the book。 。。。more

Follow the adventures of Mike Wheeler and his friends into their own fantasy world of Dungeons and Dragons。I liked the writer's idea of inserting tales between the events of the TV series。 The plot was a good example of how making a fictional desirable identity for oneself changes one's real identity and how one game can bring children together。 I recommend this book to all the fans of the Stranger Things series。 However unlike other similar books, I would not recommend this to anyone who hasn't Follow the adventures of Mike Wheeler and his friends into their own fantasy world of Dungeons and Dragons。I liked the writer's idea of inserting tales between the events of the TV series。 The plot was a good example of how making a fictional desirable identity for oneself changes one's real identity and how one game can bring children together。 I recommend this book to all the fans of the Stranger Things series。 However unlike other similar books, I would not recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen the series。 。。。more

I would like to thank edelweiss and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review。 I have read most of these Stranger Things graphic novels and I find that they are nice little additions to the show while we wait for another season。 I will say, I do not know much about Dungeons & Dragons as I have never played it, but I still enjoyed this story and the art that went along with it。

Another great comic tie-in。 They really pick the right stories for the comics(except the one with other power users) to add something worthwhile to the franchise。This one adds to the emotional ending of season 3 and shows a few days and hours before Will and Eleven are gonna leave Hawkins。 It gives a ton of emotional weight to just a single sentence from the show and it fits so perfectly。
